Ten Pound Date Day // The penny arcade.

It is no big secret round these parts that James and I are a little broke..and by a little, I mean, well, a lottle!  This, however, is no excuse for not making an effort.  As part of our summer planning we have instigated a Ten Pound Date day tradition.  It is pretty much in the title, at least once a fortnight we have pledged to go on an original date that costs ten pounds or less.

Our most recent 'Ten Pound Date' was to the Penny Arcade in Cardiff Bay.  We played a million rounds of air-hockey, of which I won zero, then partook in an epic battle with the Pirates of the Caribbean (which turned out to be mighty stressful and pretty hard for a kids game).  We rounded off the afternoon by sharing a beer and watching those brave enough to play the dancing games.
How would you spend ten pounds?

  2. National Museum for some art/ culture fun (free entry), tasty ice creams (£4) and stroll round Sophia gardens and the exterior of the Castle (as the entry is sadly £11 per adult) Starbucks for slightly un-ethical and indulgent coffee (£6). Walk home...because I spent my tenner.
