Also known as 'the English lady with the yellow dog and the straw hat'. My Nonna might not be English, but she does speak it, which in Umbria is apparently enough to determine your nationality.
Last week James and I were lucky enough to be able to stay with my Nonna for five days to celebrate her birthday. We drank prosecco and local wines, we ate more fresh plums and peaches than can be right, we walked the yellow dog and finally managed to catch the sun. It was glorious, even my freckles finally made an appearance. Thank you Nonna for a magical week.
