I was woken up by glaring sun through my still-curtainless windows at 6.30am and decided that since no sleep was left to be had, baking was the next best thing. I don't think there are many things in life as good as cake batter and icing for breakfast! I tried what felt like a million times to make icing roses to decorate but they each turned out like pasta nests. Good job we like pasta in this house.
